Italian Cemeteries in Need of Help

FLAMING JUNE, by Lord Frederic Leighton

ITALIAN CEMETERIES IN NEED OF HELP

Florence's English Cemetery is in danger of being closed down - support and money are needed for restoration and to urge the cemetery's owner to keep it open. Many illuminaries of the 19th century are either buried at this cemetery or examples of their work can be found there (e.g. Elizabeth Barret Browning, Lord Leighton, Holman Hunt).

"We urge your participation in the Emergency Appeal to restore the 'English' Cemetery in Florence."
