Here's a sample, the gorgeous Abegg from Schumann.

Schumann began to compose before his 7th year, and was encouraged by his father, but his father died when he was but 16, and neither his mother nor his guardian thought music a fit career. The question seemed to be set at rest when he agreed to study law, but both at Leipzig and Heidelberg, where he went in 1829, he neglected the law for the philosophers, and began composing songs. He intended to play the piano, but a hand injury turned him to composition - much to our delight. He received little recognition in his lifetime, and threw himself in the Rhine when in his early 40s. Rescued, he nevertheless died of complications from syphilis.

Our EQ question: Do you know anyone who was inclined toward the arts, but whose parents refused to "allow" this? What was the outcome? Did they ever get back to it as an adult? At retirement? Never? If you have deferred a dream such as this, how can you manifest it at this time in your life? It's never too late, as long as you start now!
